The present invention relates to an automatic door opening and closing device of a cryogenic freezer to allow the smooth opening and closing of a door of a cryogenic freezer and to allow only restrict users to use the cryogenic freezer. Therefore, the automatic door opening and closing device of a cryogenic freezer comprises: an engaging unit (10) having a bracket (11) and an engaging part (12) protruding from the bracket (11); a gear shaft (21) provided in a frame (27) fixated to one side of a door (2) to correspond to the engaging unit (10); a rotation gear (22) provided at the front end of the gear shaft (21); a pair of spherical locking members (23, 23′) facing each other; an access path (24) between the pair of spherical locking members (23, 23′); a motor (25) to apply power to the rotation gear (22) and to control the rotation of the rotation gear (22); and a motor gear (26).
