The present invention provides an electric arc furnace. The electric arc furnace of the present invention comprises: a furnace main body having a cylindrical container to store scrap to be melted, and a container cover to cover an upper part of the container; a scrap preheating and charging furnace equipped on one side of the furnace main body to store the scrap to be supplied to the furnace main body inside, and preheating the scrap before being supplied to the furnace main body by introducing a portion of high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from an exhaust port of the furnace main body; a main exhaust line for being connected with the exhaust unit equipped with a suction fan and the exhaust port of the furnace main body; and an exhaust gas recirculation unit to supply a portion of the high-temperature exhaust gas discharged through the main exhaust line to the scrap preheating and charging furnace.
