a. a backsheet; b. a topsheet comprising a bottom surface facing towards the backsheet and a viewing surface positioned opposite the bottom surface; c. an absorbent core disposed between the backsheet and the topsheet, the absorbent core defining an absorbent core periphery; and d. a colored portion associated with the topsheet or a layer beneath the topsheet, the colored portion comprising a first shade and a second shade, the colored portion residing within the absorbent core periphery; wherein the viewing surface of the topsheet is substantially without a non-colored portion , and wherein neither of the first shade or the second shade have an L* value of at least 90, an a* value equal to 0±2 and a b* value equal to 0±2. |
