<p>The present invention relates to a scale removal apparatus capable of removing a scale attached on the surface of an ultraviolet lamp by moving a ring-shaped lamp wiper in the vertical direction along the surface of the ultraviolet lamp, with respect to an ultraviolet sterilizer in which a plurality of ultraviolet lamps are vertically installed at regular intervals in order to sterilize ballast water inside an apparatus housing connected to a ballast water pipe for a ship. More specifically, as the electromagnets are installed on the upper surface and the lower surface of the apparatus housing; and the permanent magnets are installed on the upper surface and the lower surface of the lamp wiper, the lamp wiper is allowed to be moved in the vertical direction along the surface of the ultraviolet lamp using a force that poles of the electromagnets and poles of the permanent magnets push and pull each other. Therefore, the present invention: does not cause a malfunction or a failure of the apparatus by configuring a quite simple and reasonable structure of the scale removal apparatus; more firmly guarantees a scale removal function by the lamp wiper and sterilization performance of the ultraviolet lamp; allows silent driving by minimizing a noise caused by the operation of the scale removal apparatus; and maximizes a smooth flow of the ballast water, and a radiated area and a sterilized area of ultraviolet rays as other structures except for the ultraviolet lamp and the lamp wiper are not to be placed inside the apparatus housing.</p> |
