1. A process for the production of a compound of the Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: wherein R1 is hydrogen or C1-18 alkyl;which comprises:
(a) reducing a compound of the Formula (III): wherein R2 is a protecting group; and “----” represents an optional third bond; to form a compound of the Formula (II): (b) deprotecting the compound of Formula (II) to form a compound of Formula (I); and (c) optionally converting the compound of Formula (I) to a pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
