DIGITAL BROADCASTING TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION SYSTEM HAVING IMPROVED RECEIVING PERFORMANCE AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF

A digital broadcasting receiver and a method for processing a stream in a digital broadcasting receiver are provided. The receiver includes a demodulator for receiving and demodulating a transport stream (TS) including an additional data stream and a normal data stream, a detector for detecting information indicating the position of the additional data stream in the demodulated TS, and a turbo decoder for turbo-decoding the additional data stream using the detected information. In one embodiment, the additional data stream is positioned repeatedly every predetermined number of segments and interleaved.
