According to an embodiment, a solar cell comprises: a semiconductor substrate; a first tunneling film formed on the top of a first surface of the semiconductor substrate; a first conductive area formed on the top of the first tunneling film; a first electrode connected to the first conductive area; a second tunneling film formed on a second surface of the semiconductor substrate; a second conductive area formed on the top of the second tunneling film; and a second electrode connected to the second conductive area. At least one from the first surface and the second surface of the semiconductor substrate comprises: a first uneven portion; and a second uneven portion which is provided in the first uneven portion and has the average size smaller than that of the first uneven portion.
