<p>A protective covering for a hockey stick blade is provided to protect the blade and taper portions of a hockey stick from wear not typical of an ice hockey game. The cover includes an elongated sleeve and has an opening along the top edge thereof for receiving the blade and taper portion of the hockey stick. The sleeve and taper portion of the covering are at an angle corresponding to the angle between the taper portion and the blade of the hockey stick. One or more fasteners are provided about the opening for securing the cover to the hockey stick. A felt insert located within the sleeve further assists to protect and extract moisture from the blade after use.</p> |
