The present invention relates to a submodule embedded with a battery cell and a battery pack composed of the submodule. The submodule comprises: a casing composed of an upper cover and a lower cover for providing a space capable of storing a pouch-type battery cell inside by being coupled to each other; a bus bar installed inside the casing, with the portion exposed to the outside of the casing; and a battery cell installed inside the casing, and electronically accessed to the bus bar. According to the present invention, a battery pack has excellent durability and safety by improving binding capacity of a battery cell and protecting from the outer shock or vibration. Driving performance of a product can be improved by improving reliability of related manufacture and assembly constituted by detachably accessing each submodule with a bus bar.
