A hatch cover apparatus for a vessel. A hatch frame supports a plate-shaped hatch cover. A hatch hinge is provided on the hatch cover and the hatch frame so as to pivotally couple them together. An opening protrusion protrudes sideways from a left or right side surface of the hatch cover, and pivots forward in cooperation with the opening operation of the hatch cover. A plate-shaped side guide bar extends in the upward-downward direction. The lower end of the side guide bar is pivotally fastened to a side surface of the hatch frame. The side guide bar has a guide slit formed along a side surface thereof. An upper portion of the guide slit further extends backward to form a support sill. The guide slit is fastened with the opening protrusion. The side guide bar guides the hatch cover and fixes the hatch cover in an opened state. |
