The present invention provides a manufacturing method for an assembly cam shaft, which can reduce occurrence of a defective product. (ST01) A first caulking mountain portion is formed in a shaft body. (ST02) The first caulking mountain portion is pressurized by a cam shaft component. (ST05) Whether load pressure reaches a predetermined load is examined. (ST07) Position information about the stopped cam shaft component is acquired. (ST08) A position of a second caulking mountain portion is determined on the basis of the acquired position information. (ST09) The second caulking mountain portion is formed in the shaft body on the basis of the determined caulking position. The second caulking mountain portion may be formed in an appropriate position corresponding to a position of the cam shaft component. Therefore, a coupling force between the cam shaft component and the shaft body can be improved, and necessary slip torque is obtained to reduce occurrence of a defective product.
