<p>A control assembly (100) is disclosed for controlling an electrical power supply to a heating element(200). The assembly comprises a housing which is arranged to collectively house: • - a temperature sensor (106) for sensing the ambient temperature of the assembly; - a humidity sensor (107) for sensing the ambient air humidity of the assembly; - a current monitoring device (109) for monitoring an electrical current supply to the heating element; and, - a switching circuit (108) communicatively coupled with the temperature sensor, humidity sensor and current monitoring device, for varying the electrical power supply to the heating element in dependence of signals received from the temperature sensor and humidity sensor, and which is further arranged to electrically connect and disconnect a resistive circuit (111) in an electrically series configuration with the heating element, in dependence of a magnitude of the monitored electrical current.</p> |
