The invention improves the functionality of a cash automated transaction device. A cash automated transaction device (1) is provided with: a banknote depositing and dispensing unit (16) which accepts banknotes from outside; a discriminating unit (18) which discriminates between whether the banknote is real or counterfeit, and reads the serial number; a slip issuing port (8) which presents the customer with the serial numbers of banknotes which the discriminating unit (18) has determined to be counterfeit, for each deposit transaction; and an operation display unit (6). |
