The device has a separator formed of a cut flank comprising a set of folding shutters that are equipped with free points. The set of shutters is connected to an edge (20) of the flank by feet that comprise weakening lines forming hinges. A curved profile folds the shutters by using interference of the points with collars of a part of flat bottles (9). A cardboard is formed of the flank forming rectangular back surfaces to receive the flat bottles. Two large flaps extend to outside from sides of the rectangular back surfaces. An independent claim is also included for a method for boxing flat bottles.
