A refrigeration device has: a heat source heat medium circuit through which a heat medium for a heat source flows and in which a compressor, a heat exchanger for a heat source, an expansion section, and a cascade heat exchanger which exchanges heat between the heat medium for a heat source and a heat medium for a load are connected by means of piping; and a load heat medium circuit through which the heat medium for a load flows and in which a pump which transports the heat medium for a load, a heat exchanger for a load, and the cascade heat exchanger are connected by means of piping. The heat source heat medium circuit has a heat source flow passage switching section for selecting the direction of flow of the heat medium for a heat source. The load heat medium circuit has a load flow passage switching section for selecting the direction of flow of the heat medium for a load.
