Computer implemented solutions for facilitating accelerated amortization of mortgages are disclosed. A service accessible to mortgagors through a data network is cohosted with, or linked to, a database containing existing information on the mortgages, as provided by the mortgagee. Upon accessing the service, mortgagors are automatically matched to their respective mortgage information, and can input desired increases to their already-scheduled mortgage payments. Based on the mortgagor-specified payment increase information, a mortgage payment increase notice is automatically conveyed to the mortgagee for use in assigning a new mortgage payment amount to one or more scheduled future mortgage payments. Scheduling of incremental payment increases over time is provided for, as are various notification options for the notifying the mortgagee of whether upcoming payments should be increased. |
