A control system comprises a master device including an operation unit and a communication processing unit, and one or more slave devices connected to the master device via a network. The communication processing unit is configured to manage the cyclic transmission on the network of a data string including data which the master device and the one or more slave devices handle. The communication processing unit is configured to start the cyclic transmission of a first data string including output data to the one or more slave devices in tandem with the execution of output processing in the operation unit, and start the cyclic transmission of a second data string in order to acquire information which the one or more slave devices is collecting from an object to be controlled a predetermined period before the start of the execution of input processing in the operation unit.
