The present invention provides polysilsesquioxane having azide (N_3) side-chain group and represented by Chemical Formula 1, and a method for producing the same. In Chemical Formula 1, R_1, R_2, and R_3 are independently selected from the group consisting of an azide aromatic group, an azide aliphatic group, and organic functional groups. One or more of R_1, R_2, and R_3 are azide aromatic groups or azide aliphatic groups. n is an integer of 1 to 10,000. According to the present invention, high molecular light curing polysilsesquioxane exhibits high modulus and high hardness, so excellent physical properties such as heat resistance, coating properties, and processability are ensured, thereby being widely used in various fields.
