This battery holder is provided with a housing chamber (1) that houses a battery, the housing chamber has an opening end surface (2) from which a battery (10) can be taken in/out, an upper surface section (6) and a lower surface section (7), which hold the battery, and first and second side surface sections (4, 5) facing each other. On an inner wall of the first side surface section (4), a protruding section (4a) is formed at an area including an end section on the opening end surface side, and on the second side surface section (5), a flexible section (5a), which is deformable toward the outside, is formed at an area including the end section on the opening end surface side. In the upper surface section (6) and/or the lower surface section (7), a slit (11) extending to a part of an area of the battery is formed, said slit extending toward the opening end surface from a third side surface section (3) on the side opposite to the opening end surface, an end section of the flexible section is positioned further toward the third side surface section side than the protruding section, and the slit is positioned further toward the second side surface section side than the center line of the battery. |
