STATOR FOR A ROTARY ELECTRICAL MACHINE, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

The stator for a rotary electric machine comprises a first stack of laminations (12) which are made of a magnetic material and form an external field frame, and a second stack of laminations (14) made of a magnetic material and forming an internal core. The laminations (14) comprise an annular base (14a), teeth (14b) extending radially towards the outside and a plurality of notches (18) open radially on the side of a bore (16) of the external field frame. The stator further comprises a first coating (26) that is electrically insulating and covers at least those parts of the bore (16) of the external field frame that are radially facing the notches (18), and a second coating (28) that is electrically insulating and covers at least the walls of the bases (14a) and the walls of the teeth (14b) of the internal core delimiting the notches (18). The first and second coatings (26, 28) define a plurality of cavities (50) which are electrically insulated from the laminations (12, 14).
