<p>A device having a glass-to-glass-to-glass sealing structure is provided. The device further includes environmentally sensitive material sandwiched between two glass substrates. The glass-to-glass-to-glass sealing structure is provided between the two glass substrate and helps encapsulate the environmentally sensitive material between the two glass substrates. The glass-to-glass-to-glass sealing structure has a plurality of substantially continuous glass fibers having a substantially circular cross-section, which are arranged closely and substantially mutually parallel, such that the space between the glass fibers is filled with a matrix material, creating a glass-to-glass-to-glass integrated seal between the first substrate and the second substrate.</p> |
