摘要 A two-dimensional/three-dimensional switchable display apparatus includes: a display panel; a first substrate disposed on the display panel; a first electrode layer disposed on the first substrate and including a plurality of first electrodes; a second substrate disposed on the first substrate; a second electrode layer disposed on the second substrate and including a plurality of second electrodes; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates. A plurality of lens units are formed in association with a first position of the liquid crystal layer when a lens forming voltage profile is applied to the first electrodes and a common voltage is applied to the second electrodes. When the common voltage is applied to the first electrodes and the lens forming voltage is applied to the second electrodes, the plurality of lens units are formed in association with a second position spaced apart from the first position.

A display device driving method, comprising: causing, at least in part, a liquid crystal layer to be switched from a two-dimensional display mode to a three-dimensional display mode; receiving image data associated with the three-dimensional display mode; causing, at least in part, a first plurality of electrodes disposed on the liquid crystal layer to be driven in association with a voltage profile based on the image data and a second plurality of electrodes disposed on the liquid crystal layer to be driven in association with a common voltage, the first plurality of driven electrodes being configured to cause the liquid crystal layer to form a plurality of lens units in association with a first position of the liquid crystal layer; and causing, at least in part, the second plurality of electrodes to be driven in association with the voltage profile based on the image data and the first plurality of electrodes to be driven in association with the common voltage, the second plurality of driven electrodes being configured to cause the liquid crystal layer to form the plurality of lens units in association with a second position of the liquid crystal layer.
