PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Fe-based vibration-damping alloy having excellent vibration-damping characteristic.SOLUTION: An Fe-based vibration-damping alloy comprises a composition formed of: 25-42 atom% of Mn; 12-18 atom% of Al; 5-12 atom% of Ni; and Fe and inevitable impurities in balance. The Fe-based vibration-damping alloy can be produced by steps of: an initial heating step for heating and holding the alloy at 1100-1300°C for ten minutes or more; a slow cooling step for slowly cooling the heated alloy at a temperature range of 300-1000°C; and re-heating step for heating and holding the cooled alloy at 1100-1300°C for ten minutes or more.
