PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength multiplexing device capable of preventing signal interference due to the input of an extended signal.SOLUTION: The wavelength multiplexing device includes: a plurality of TRPN(Transponder) for outputting an optical signal; a VOA(Variable Optical Attenuator) installed in each TRPN for adjusting the output level of an optical signal from the TRPN; and a first CPL(Coupler) for multiplexing each adjusted optical signal. The wavelength multiplexing device includes an OCM(Optical Channel Monitor) for detecting the output level of the multiplexed optical signal by a wavelength unit. The wavelength multiplexing device includes a first control part for, when an extended signal is detected, controlling the VOA which corresponds to the extended signal such that the output level of the extended signal falls within the detection range of the output level in which an interference error between the extended signal and the other optical signals does not occur, and the OCM is able to detect the output level of the optical signal. The wavelength multiplexing device includes: a monitoring part for determining whether or not the output level of the set wavelength related to the extended signal is equal to or more than a detection threshold within the detection range; and a second control part for controlling the VOA which corresponds to the extended signal on the basis of the determination result. |
