Disclosed are an X-ray generating apparatus, a CT system including the same, and a control method thereof. The disclosed X-ray generating apparatus includes a cathode, a grid, an anode, and a target. The X-ray generating apparatus generating a pulse type X-ray includes a cathode control unit which controls a voltage applied to the cathode and a grid control unit which controls a voltage applied to the grid. The grid control unit controls the grid to continuously generate a unit pulse composed of a first grid voltage to emit electrons to the target from the cathode and a second grid voltage to prevent the electrons from being emitted from the cathode to the target. The first grid voltage and the second grid voltages applied to each unit pulse are constant.
