PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion device which is superior in the adhesion between a substrate and an electrode, and the adhesion between a photoelectric conversion layer and an electrode while keeping a predetermined conversion efficiency; and a solar battery.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion device comprises: a substrate; a backside electrode formed on the substrate; and a photoelectric conversion layer formed on the backside electrode and including a CIGS based semiconductor compound. The backside electrode includes molybdenum as a primary component, and oxygen and sodium. The average sodium concentration CnaT of the whole backside electrode is over 1.5 to 10 at%. In the backside electrode, the average oxygen density CoC in a first region ranging from a first interface of the substrate and the backside electrode to a distance of 1/3-2/3 of the total thickness of the backside electrode in the film thickness direction thereof, and the average oxygen density CoT of the whole backside electrode satisfy the following expression: CoT<CoC. |
