<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel capable of more properly controlling an electric motor for turning.SOLUTION: A hybrid shovel according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: an engine 11; a motor generator 12 capable of assisting the engine 11; a power storage system 120 that includes a capacitor 19 comprising a plurality of cells; a power storage management device 140 that equalizes cell voltages of the plurality of cells; an electric motor 21 for turning; a DC bus 110 that connects the motor generator 12, the power storage system 120 and the electric motor 21 for turning together; and a controller 30 that suppresses or stops drive of the electric motor 21 for turning depending on a state of the power storage management device 140.</p> |
