PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly relay IP packets conforming to different IP versions.SOLUTION: A network relay device includes: a packet relay processing unit which is set to either one operation mode out of a first operation mode which operates as a router functional unit and a second operation mode which operates as a bridge functional unit, to operate and relay an IP packet; and an operation mode setting unit which selectively sets the operation mode of the packet relay processing unit to one of the first operation mode and the second operation mode on the basis of each IP version to which the IP packet conforms. |
