1. A method of ionizing air, comprising:
providing an ion generator device that comprises an elongate housing having a back portion and a pair of side portions extending from the back portion and forming a cavity therein, a conductive portion disposed within the cavity and connected to a power supply for providing voltage to the conductive portion, and a plurality of tines engaged to the conductive portion; and placing the ion generator device in an HVAC system that includes a heat transfer device, wherein the heat transfer device is positioned adjacent the ion generator device. |
