ANALYSIS OF FLOW STATE IN BOUNDARY LAYER

FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: boundary layer on airfoils can feature laminar or turbulent state. Claimed process comprises illumination of analyzed flow above airfoil across flow direction with parallel light beam and its registration after passage through the zone of analysis, for example, by point projection instrument. Width of cross-section of illuminating light beam above airfoil is limited to no over 1.5 of boundary layer depth.EFFECT: higher accuracy of boundary layer state determination and that of transition from laminar to turbulent state.4 dwg
