PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of lithium carbonate from brine containing lithium chloride.SOLUTION: Solution containing lithium chloride 30 contacts with sodium carbonate solution 66 in a reaction container 68 and generates slurry 70 containing solid lithium carbonate and sodium chloride solution. The sodium carbonate solution 66 is generated by contacting sodium hydroxide 62 prepared in an electrochemical cell 32 with carbon dioxide 44 in a carbonation reactor/absorber 38. In a preparation method of lithium carbonate 77, the slurry 70 is separated with a separation unit 72, and a flow 74 of lithium carbonate product and a flow 77 of sodium chloride 76 which can be recycled to the electrochemical cell 32 are generated. |
