1. A terminal device, comprising:
a communication unit configured to receive a beacon signal transmitted from at least one beacon device via short-range wireless communication, and to communicate with a service device over a communication network to provide a customized service based on the beacon signal; a control unit functionally connected with the communication unit, and configured to scan the beacon signal transmitted from the beacon device, to determine whether a user has entered a store, in which the beacon device is located, through calculation of a distance to the beacon device using the scanned beacon signal, to transmit information, indicative of whether the user has entered the store, to the service device, and to receive information related to the store, adapted to differ depending on whether the user has entered the store, from the service device; and an output unit functionally connected with the control unit, and configured to output the information related to the store, received from the service device, depending on whether the user has entered the store in order to provide the customized service to the user. |
