<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system for an engine, which can effectively and efficiently reduce exhaust sounds.SOLUTION: A throttle part 14, which locally reduces a passage cross-sectional area, is provided in an exhaust pipe 13 in a part where a node part on the upstream side of two-node mode sound pressure vibrations is positioned. A hole 15 for communicating the inside and outside of a wall surface of the exhaust pipe 13 with each other is formed on the wall surface of the exhaust pipe 13 in a part between a part where a stem most downstream of the sound pressure vibrations generating air-column resonance in a three-node mode is positioned, and a part where a stem most downstream of the sound pressure vibrations generating air-column resonance in a four-node mode is positioned.</p> |
