PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which a photo memory phenomenon is suppressed even when an aromatic polyester resin is used in a hole transporting layer.SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a hole transporting layer comprising a polyester resin and a hole transporting substance. It is supposed that, since the polyester has a structure in which an alicyclic ring at the center of a bisphenol moiety of an aromatic diol has 1 to 3 alkyl groups each having 1 to 3 carbon atoms as substituents, structural units of the polyester are inhibited from folding and stacking.
