PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass that has high devitrification resistance and high visible light transmittance while having a high refractive index (n) and a low Abbe number (ν), and a lens preform and an optical element using the same.SOLUTION: An optical glass comprises, by mass%, POcomponent of 5.0% or more and 40.0% or less, NbOcomponent of 20.0% or more and 60.0% or less, and ZnO component of more than 0.5% and 35.0% or less, comprises BiOcomponent and TeOcomponent of 0.1% or more and 30.0% or less in total, and has a refractive index (n) of 1.70 or more and an Abbe number of (ν) of 35 or less.
