PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video encoding method with bit depth adjustment for a fixed-point conversion and an apparatus therefor, and a video decoding method and an apparatus therefor.SOLUTION: A video decoding method of the invention relates to a video encoding method for adjusting the range of output data, which has been encoded such that the bit depth can be controlled during a decoding process of encoded samples, and a video decoding method for preventing an overflow of the output data in each step of the decoding process. The video decoding method comprises: decoding by parsing quantized conversion factors for each image block from a received bitstream; decoding conversion factors which are less than or equal to a first bit depth by executing an inversion quantization of the quantized conversion factors; and decoding samples which are less than or equal to a second bit depth by executing a one-dimensional inverse conversion and inverse scaling of the conversion factors.
