PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking toy having a stable advancing posture in walking, thereby preventing the toy from being falling down.SOLUTION: An arm 3 and a component 4, which are centroid position adjusting members, and a pair of leg members 7 are supported to a body 2 so as to be swingable forward and backward, and a gear box including a crank mechanism is incorporated in the body 2. The crank mechanism compulsorily swings each of the pair legs alternately forward and backward. Surfaces of the pair of leg members 7 that come into contact with a floor surface are formed in a curved shape in a compulsory swinging direction such that the floor surface and the pair of leg members 7 are in contact with each other at all times, thereby enabling a walking toy 1 to walk with the pair of leg members 7. The gear box is driven by a twisted coil spring as a driving source, and includes a lever 22 for rotating a driving gear of a gear train for delivering a rotational force of the twisted coil spring to an output shaft for rotating the crank mechanism. The twisted coil spring is positioned between the lever 22 and a frame of the gear box, in which the lever is turned to twist the twisted coil spring. |
