PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an oxygenated product which enables more efficient synthesis of an oxygenated product from a mixed gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide.SOLUTION: A method of producing an oxygenated product includes a step of bringing a mixed gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide into contact with a catalyst for synthesis of an oxygenated product to obtain an oxygenated product. In the method of producing an oxygenated product, the mixed gas contains an inert gas. Preferably, the mixed gas contains 5-50 vol.% of the inert gas and is brought into contact with the catalyst under a condition of 1-3 MPa.
