FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diesel fuel composition which contains an additive in the form of a quaternary ammonium salt formed by reacting a compound of formula(A) and a compound formed by reacting a hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent and an amine of formula(B1) or(B2), where R is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or alkylaryl group; Ris a C-Calkyl, aryl or alkylaryl group; Rand Rare identical or different alkyl groups having 1 to 22 carbon atoms; X is an alkylene group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; n equals 0 to 20; m equals 1 to 5; Ris hydrogen or a C-Calkyl group.
