The fuel leakage detecting device has a fuel pressure sensor (20a), which measures the fuel pressure in a fuel path, which extends from the fuel tank (10) to a spraying hole of the fuel injector (20). The fuel pressure sensor provides an output signal that is indicative for the fuel pressure. A leakage detection switch analyzes the wave form of the output signal from the fuel pressure sensor to compute an injection duration, during which the fuel from the fuel injector is injected. |
