Mixing desks provide such a quantity of information that it is not always possible for a user to be aware of issues occurring with other incoming signals. A slidable fader 10 controller for use with audio signal processing comprises a user contact member 20 and a track 30, the user contact member slidably moveable relative to the track, and the position of the user contact member relative to the track affects an aspect of the audio signal. The slidable fader controller also comprises a signalling means 110 configured to alert a user of an event, wherein the event is unrelated to the aspect of the audio signal which the slidable fader controller is affecting. The signaling means may be a vibration, light or sound and may be provided via the user contact member. A vibration signal may be provided via a motor for moving the user contact member. The alert may be provided only when a sensor detects that a user is touching the user contact member. |
