PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR METALLIC OBJECTS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CORROSION

The material (1) has a barrier layer (2) made plastic and forming a package outer side. A reservoir layer (4) is arranged between the barrier layer and an inner-sided transfer layer (3) and made from foamed plastic. A volatile, corrosion-inhibitive active ingredient i.e. corrosion inhibitor, is accommodated in the reservoir layer. The barrier layer comprises a low permeability for the corrosion-inhibitive active ingredient than the transfer layer. The barrier layer comprises layer thickness between 10 and 50 micrometers. A foam material layer is formed directly at the reservoir layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a packaging material.
