<p>In a ceiling structure noise dampers (70) of sound absorbent material are inserted on metal grid beams (21) in a suspended ceiling (43). Hangers (40), embedded in a structural ceiling (22), that support the grid beams (21), are insulated from the grid beams (21) by the noise dampers (70). Sound vibrations generated in the structural ceiling (22), which is often a floor, are not transmitted through the hangers (40), to the suspended ceiling (43), or to the room, below, but are absorbed in the noise dampers (70) before reaching the grid beams (21).</p> |
