<p>The method involves placing a part i.e. metal crossbeam (12), in an overmolding mold (14) that comprises reliefs (30, 32) projected from flat walls (26a, 26b). The mold is closed such that the reliefs enter in linear contact with opposite surfaces (13, 15) of the part on total dimension of the surfaces, respectively. The part is punched by the mold, when the dimension of the part is higher than predetermined dimension, where the part is made of advanced molding compound (AMC), bulk molding compound (BMC) or sheet molding compound (SMC) material.
