A cell module (20) provided with a unit cell (101) and a sensor connected to the unit cell (101) is provided with calculation means for calculating a value indicating the state of the unit cell (101) on the basis of a value measured by the sensor, storage means for recording calculated values calculated by the calculation means, assessment means for assessing illegitimate usage of the cell module (20), and control means for controlling the calculation means, storage means, and assessment means, the control means deleting calculated values recorded in the storage means and prohibiting recording of calculated values to the storage means when the assessment means assesses that illegitimate usage has occurred.
