<p>The cover (1) has a cylindrical fixing region (2) for radial fixing of a piston ring (4) and a disk-like covering region (3) to cover an inner region of a bearing housing, where the cover is formed of a metal by a mechanism such as internal high-pressure forming (IHU), deep-thawing, forging and roller burnishing. A cylindrical joining region (8) combines a bearing housing cover to the bearing housing. The joining region includes a radial groove (13) to receive a sealing element (14) and a tongue on a bearing housing side (5) to form a joining device (12). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a bearing housing cover.</p> |
