Railway vehicle equipped with contactors, method of controlling and using these contactors

The vehicle (2) has a polyphased motor (50) equipped with a rotor with permanent magnets, that rotates motor wheel of a railway vehicle. A polyphased inverter (20) delivers a polyphased supply voltage of the motor. Controllable contactors (34-36) are equipped with two electrodes placed inside a hermetic bulb. Each contactor has a bulb inside which the pressure rests in non-passing state. Product of the pressure by inter-electrode distance is at level of minimum of Paschen curve. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling contactors in a vehicle.
