摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective and appropriate sliding quake-absorbing mechanism capable of making residual displacement as small as possible without deteriorating quake-absorbing performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the sliding quake-absorbing mechanism which freely slidably supports a quake-absorbing object 1 of self-weight W on a supporting part 4 via a sliding surface having a friction coefficientμ, a plurality of restoration springs 5 are provided between the quake-absorbing object and the supporting part to give a preload F to the restoration springs. The preload F is set in a range of F=(0.1 to 0.4)μW, and the friction coefficientμin a range ofμ=0.05 to 0.2. Constant load springs 6, coil springs, or disc springs are used as the restoration springs and installed in such a state that a limiting displacement causing the preload is given and a restoration equal to or smaller than the limiting displacement is restricted while the displacement equal to or larger than the limiting displacement is allowed. The plurality of restoration springs are arranged to give restoring forces in each horizontal direction.
