Disclosed are a method and device for extracting subtitles. The method comprises: a video stream input into a mobile terminal is separated into video data and subtitle data through a hardware decoding mode; and the video data and the subtitle data are sent. By means of the present invention, the problem of relatively high resource occupation rate and low processing efficiency existed in a method for extracting subtitles in the relevant art is solved, thereby increasing the processing speed of a mobile terminal and improving the user experience. |
