<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detecting device capable of ensuring further certain separation performance of a vehicle and detection accuracy of a high speed vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle detecting device according to the embodiment includes: a stereo camera imaging part which is installed right beside or right above a vehicle traveling on a road and composed of at least two cameras for imaging at least a part of the vehicle without overlapping; and image processing means which detects the presence/absence of the vehicle on the installation position by applying image processing to an image obtained from the two cameras of the imaging part by a plane projection stereo method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
